T Martin Wood & Sarah P Cooper (nee Wood) become Joint Managing Directors when Thomas H Wood retires from everyday running of the company.

A new Blending Plant is built within a new building to produce Batters, Breaders, Stuffing Mixes, Pre-dusts and other dry mixes.

Thomas H Wood receives MBE for services to the Food Industry & for the local community
